We Talk Chalk is honored to be organizing Nashville’s first street painting Festival, Nashville Chalk Fest! April 11-12
Nashville Chalk Fest is a free, 2-day street painting festival with entertainment, food, and family fun; featuring sidewalk chalk art by professional artists, hobbyist, and art enthusiasts from across the country. This will be the first of what we hope to make an annual tradition of the Nashville Chalk Fest event benefitting the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences.
The Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences has provided hearing and speech services to patients of all ages and their families for over 60 years, offering every patient compassionate, personalized care. Housed within the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences are the Preschool for Children with Autism and the Mama Lere Hearing School. All net proceeds will benefit most significantly the Preschool for Children with Autism and the Mama Lere Hearing School as well as other hearing and speech programs.
Last weekend was my second visit to the Music City to help organize and hold street painting workshops for the local artist community. We are really excited about the artists that have signed up. It’s a talented group and we can’t wait to see what they create. As the Featured Artist, I will be creating a 15 x 15 foot 3D street painting that ties into the incredible non-profit the event benefits. The event will host 2 Guest, Out of Town Artists, as well as 20 – 40 local Nashville artists.
We look forward to a great event and hope to see you there!
